I really appreciate the tips and am making a file of them. I actually had a
second one and when I find it I will send it to you. Jim, so I won't make a
fool of myself and put it in a tip, I would like you to read it first. If you
don't want to put your email on this list I understand. However, my email is
susan.stanzel@xxxxxxxxxxxxx I would appreciate receiving your contact
information. I have been quite impressed by how quickly some folks have caught
on to all this. Again, keep those tips coming (grin).

Suzy:

...I hear you and sympathize with you. However, the red indicator beside the
line with the syntax error is problematic at best. I had a scripter at my
disposal about two years ago who essentially gave up on trying to develop a
solution that was first workable and that didn't interfere with other aspects.

That issue and others is why I wanted us to create our own set of scripts but
for what ever reason the idea / project fizzled.

...as for learning this stuff, that's why George Bell and myself started the
list. Just ask away. If I can't answer you, there are others on the list that
are very talented. If I may, this time last year a certain person from New
Jersey was a beginner and now she's contributing to the list in a positive
manner.

Hi Jim and JR ,

I am still very slow with eclipse, just for grins, I just found out they don't
capitolize it.

Now to my question:

Now, I don't mean to be a cry baby about what sighted people can do, but I was
sitting beside a woman who was helping me a little bit on Wednesday. Of course,
she can see the red and did things like right clicking on the thing that was
wrong and it told her the problem without having to do F11 and then going to
problems. I really do want to compete and sometimes can't even see how I can be
an average programmer, let alone a fast one. As I also become a better Java
programmer, I know I will make fewer mistakes. Back in the days of COBOL and
flow charting, I had such things as a flow chart memorized and didn't have to
go running for the paper copy of the flow chart. That was one of the ways I
considered myself better than average. I need hints from you great guys on how
to be better than average. I am already reading and doing some work on the
weekends. I am reading Thinking in Java. I am really looking for advice, not
complaining.

...I'm not looking to have my feathers stroked, but have anyone found these
useful? ...is the format easily readable?
