If I recall correctly it's 2.6.32, and it was introduced with the same
patch as Shmem value.

You must understand, that from kernel stand point all of this is in fact
shared memory.

I also push patch to lkml (https://lkml.org/lkml/2013/7/24/536), but
there was'nt any feedback from kernel developers.

Instead I decide to update free utility in the least invasive manner.
Now at least it shows correct value for "shared" memory.
