PLEASE DISTRIBUTE THIS MAIL TO ALL COMSYS STUDENTS AT UMIC.

DATE: Next Wed. 15th of June, 5:00 am - 6:00 am

The NOC will upgrade the software of the central UMIC switch that connects UMIC
with the rest of the university network. This means that there won't be any
network connectivity for us. This also means that all networked pool systems
will loose their NFS mounts and the home directories for the duration of the
update.

As few people are here early in the morning this should not be a problem...
EXCEPT for automated measurement runs that run through the night.

Please shut down ALL pool PCs, testbed PCs, etc. on Tuesday evening so that we
have a smooth startup after the update.

BR,

Tobias
