Here is the Phorm v3.5.2 distribution, with file upload and attachment
modules. You must use these modules, and not the old ones, with this
release. See the file UPGRADE.txt for upgrade instructions. Also, a
number of plugins have been updated to work with this release. If you
are using any Holotech plugins, replace them with the version from this
distro. Note that validation plugins work a little differently now. They
are in a file with a .crit extension, and go in the "validation" folder
within the plugins folder. They do not need to be added to registry.php.
This release encompasses some bug fixes and various enhancements. Hidden
fields are now recycled. The HTML parser for data recycling has been
vastly improved, and the data recycling section itself streamlined. Once
upon a time, Phorm would choke if it had to recycle very large forms.
That was handled several releases ago, and Phorm has long been able to
handle good-sized forms. Now it will be able to handle forms larger than
any sane webmaster would ever create. If you're an insane webmaster, I
say give it your best shot.
I've added a couple of nifty new formatting functions, and made it so
criterion arguments can contain spaces (yay!) As requested, I've added a
new file upload collison mode; it's now possible to rename the existing
file rather than the uploaded file.
In the FILES section of your validation rules file, you can now prefix
$/ to a file name, and Phorm will look for the file relative to
DOCUMENT_ROOT.
Templates can now be on a different server, and read with http:// or
ftp:// or other protocols. Note that this requires your PHP installation
to be configured to allow it.
And if you're a programmer and have ever wanted to write a validation
plugin, it's now ridiculously simple. Take a look at the included
yada.crit file, and you'll see.
Oh -- and check out the new Hawaiian Fountains example. I think you'll
be impressed!
