Phorm prepends the template directory path to the file name, so unfortunately 
the only way to access a file elsewhere is to use ../ For example, suppose 
your template directory is at /users/myacct/web/phorm/form1/templates, and the 
file you want to write to is at /users/myacct/home. The filename you would 
specify would be ../../../../home. That is, you would have to traverse up the 
directory structure and back down. 

This will be changed in the next release.
