The following new message has been posted on Phorm Support Forum at <http://www.phorm.com/support/>. *************************************************************************** MESSAGE: (#4214) Installation Feedback <http://www.phorm.com/support/?rev=4214> AUTHOR: Holotech DATE: July 26, 2004 at 8:49 a.m. EST OK, maybe you folks can help me out here. I get a lot of questions about "What should I install?" or problems that indicate the person hasn't installed the lib directory or some such thing. I don't understand these questions and problems. When I install a web program, I assume everything in the distro is required or at least useful. I upload everything. I would much rather do that than to spend time sifting through all the files of an application I know nothing about, thinking, "OK, what can I get rid of?" Once it's up and running, obvious things like READMEs (after they've been read), docs and examples can be deleted, but I start out with everything. Am I unique in this? Is bandwidth so scarce that uploading a few K makes a difference? I'm not trying to be sarcastic or attacking here. I honestly don't understand, and perhaps if I do, I can add or change something that will make it easier for users. *************************************************************************** This is an automatically-generated notice.
