That is what prompted the question I have a program where it is not shown in the normal way. It is a Jasc program called Paint Shop. Belarc does not show it either. I have looked in the registry but do not seem to locate it. Thanks anyway Larry Browning Have a great day ============================================== Clint Hamilton-PCWorks Admin wrote: All the ones I've seen it does. How you find them of course depends on the software for which you want to find the #. Something like Belarc Advisor can find "some" of them, and I'm sure there's other programs out there that will find all of them. The easiest way is just say what you're looking for (if any specific), or just search the registry for that program, then you'll have to look at all the keys to find the #. Note that sometimes the #'s are in code or encrypted in such a way that they are not verbatim so-to-speak. Many are also displayed within the program, like under maybe the "Help" toolbar area then "About" or maybe even "Registration". -Clint God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner ======================================================== ============================================= ----- Original Message ----- From: "LarryB" Does your registry keep track of all you software's key codes or registry number? If they do how do you find them? Or is there a program that will read them out? ============================================== ========================= The list's FAQ's can be seen by sending an email to PCWorks-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with FAQ in the subject line.
