A friend with a Sony Vaio is attempting to boot it up and use it through
another display. They had damaged the display by closing it accidentally
on top of a coffee mug resting by the keys. They have plugged a vga
cable from the Sony to another laptop but Vista always boots to safe
mode only.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you,
