Hank, I wouldn`t throw your scanner in the trash - yet.
I`ve been having scanner problems too - it`s just so frustrating & time
consuming trying to solve the problem. Uninstalling the scanner,
reinstalling it, checking plugs are fitting properly, reading up on articles
etc..
Well last week I went to my printer maker`s website & downloaded a driver
for the printer and since I installed it, the scanner has been working very
well.
So perhaps you need a printer driver.
How far into the scanning programme were you able to get? I was able to get
the image and then a message would come up -- the scanner can`t find the
default printer.
