Gman,

Since installing the new memory, It seems to me I had more speed when I had
more memory even though it was single (hence the two 512 sticks that did not
match), now I have the two 256 sticks that do match, each of these combos
were with the two new 1 gig sticks that matched. My question is , Is it
worthwhile then to purchase two sticks of 512 mg that match to increase the
memory or even two more 1 gig sticks since the computer will take 4 gigs?
I know you said optimal was 2 gig for XP but what do you think?, is it worth
the cost of the purchase.

I told my brother about redoing the memory sticks and he was a bit confused
as was I since we had originally put the two sticks in the first two slots
in the computer that were numbered 1, 3. I tried to explain to him about
maybe the computer being numbered different than the program that analyzed
it. I was also trying to find in a manual online somewhere where it might
explain the numbering in this computer Dell, 4200i.
