I have the same problem with the same OS and Easy CD Creator and here is what solves it for me. Clear your cache before recording another CD. That is, delete all those Temporary Internet files and reboot. (Internet Explorer/Tools/Delete Files/Delete All Offline Content) Record with minimal things open and running in the background. (close everything possible in the System Tray manually). I get tons of buffer underruns and have ruined many CDs because I didn't clear out the temp files before recording. One of my seniors has a problem with recording music on to CD's using Easy Creator 5. The first one she did worked beautifully, but all other attempts has resulted in throwing away the CD's. She has the steps written down correctly but each time the CD visually shows that it is 90% finished when all of a sudden the drawer pops open & says it could not complete the task. The first few she thought maybe she purchased a 'bad' set of CD's so she went & bought new ones. The very same thing happened again. We went to their website to see if there were updates posted & there were. They required her to put in her pertinent info to sign up before she could enter to download the update. Well the download didn't go through so the next time we tried to go back into the site again for another try at the download. For whatever reason their system could not recognize something in her sign-in info...I assure you she entered in the cor rect info, the recognition problem was on their end. So after trying many times & still not being able to get in, we decided to enter her in with a different name but all other information remained the same. Well of course this didn't work because they told her someone already was registered with that email address... of course it was her from the first time. I tried one last time & it seemed as though this time it recorded. But, that was false hope. We tried to play it & it said the 'D' drive was unavailable. I took the CD hope to play it on my computer & I got the same dialog box. She is fed up & just wants me to 'do something to fix it!' Any suggestions? Should we just get the version 6 upgrade? If so, because it is an upgrade will it write over the present version or should version 5 be uninstalled? Or might there be a better, but still easy to use, different program? I am looking forward to some help, before my hair falls out.
