You might not have the music format (mp3, wav, etc.) set up in Windows Media Player... If you want to uninstall it (WMP) in Add/Remove go to Add and remove Windows Components. You should find Windows Media Player. Now, to setup your preferences in Windows Media Player... I hope someone else can help, I hate WMP interface and can never find any help there. I know that when you reinstall there are otions to chose what you want it to play.
