Yep... was going to tell you that you can do it with the "limited-capability" Windows client. But, it works, and is fine for basic transfers. The program runs only on your end. Once you finish uploading, its over and closes. Its actually just Internet Explorer with FTP capabilities built-in. Publishing is automatic. You'll have a root directory, or home directory. That directory would be where your files are. If you place the index.htm or index.html file in that root or home directory, it should be live as soon as the files are there... unless, of course, the school has it blocked until review. ---Troth ----- Original Message ----- From: cristy Sent: Monday, January 16, 2006 6:17 PM To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: publishing a webpage I set it up and was able to transfer a file to my electronic box via windows ftp program but what I am not sure of now is does it actually "publish" a htm page I send to it or it that a separte thing? And does this program keep running after I use it to transport a file, do I need to discontinue it like I did before when using webdav ftp?
