hey Cris... check your refresh settings, I have found flat panels work
better at a lower setting than CRTs do. also you may want to up your
resolution settings and update your video card drivers.

here is the IBM site for your new flat panel:

: My son bought a monitor for me today at the computer show.
: I'm not sure if I like it or not. It's an IBM T860.
: It has a slight blemish on the glass. I can live with that. It's 18
inches.Flat
: Panel.
: Built in 2003.
: I definitely have to get used to it. I have toned down the brightness
: considerately.
: It looks all out of wack - distorted, even though it really isn't. When I
move
: my eyes, I can see that it is 'square'.
: We've fiddled with the adjustments.
: The problem is - there is a shadow around everything. Like this e-mail -
the
: outside right has a shadow.
: the letters have shadows. my toolbar buttons have shadows.
:
: my son thinks maybe it's because it's a digial monitor and I'm not set up
for
: digital.
: He's going to look at it some more tomorrow. In the mean time, I thought I
would
: ask in case anyone had any ideas or thoughts.
: I've only ever used the good 'old fashioned' monitors before! So I am
honestly
: totally clueless here.
:
: Any input is GREATLY appreciated!!!
