well, I got it figured out... and will post my findings here in case anyone else needs to know this fix! I had my default font set to tahoma in both mail and news settings under tools/options/compose, which was correct as to all the MSKB articles on changing default font.... however, they fail to mention that if you have your settings under tools/options/read/fonts/*proportional width* set to the same font as for compose, the default font for composing will not stick. I changed that setting to sans serif, and now can compose my html mail in the font I prefer! another oddity I ran into: I had thought that my tahoma font had become corrupted, so I attempted to reinstall... LOL - NOT! after removing all references to this font from my registry, changing all my defaults that used that font and rebooting, I tried to delete the tahoma fonts from my font folder... they would delete alright, but then recreate themselves! now that was weird! ah... the subtleties of microsoft! ~s ----- Original Message ----- From: "suzánne" Sent: Thursday, July 04, 2002 12:03 AM Subject: default font in OE 5.5 > good evening all...
