Yea... that disk is really the only option... UNLESS he's will to dish out some
money and make some company that specializes in that do it for him. Have to
sort of weigh the importance of the task.

That's what I was afraid of. I know about the Password Reset Disk but those
have to be made while you know the password obviously.
I checked the KB and TechNet and came up with a big fat 0.
I guess he is looking at a reinstall.

That's a tough one, Dave. Not sure you CAN reset the password of the Admin
account. I know if you have other accounts, the Admin account can reset the
passwords on those additional accounts... but, if the admin password could
be reset, then it wouldn't very much be secure.
You might want to check the MS Knowledge Database. The Windows XP help
system might have something as well, but the former will probably produce
more success.
