Yes. There is a M$-office-compatible suite that will read and write Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, etc. files called OpenOffice. (www.openoffice.org). It is available on several platforms and has received better reviews than Office 2003 or 2007. IMHO, there is a better (and nearly-free) suite out that called Corel Wordperfect 12, X3 or X4, which are available as OEM products for fewer than $20.00 (often much less) from www.softwareoutlet.com. Wordperfect can be configured quite easily to "think" that it is M$ Office. -----Original Message----- From: pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of bookworm54 tds.net Sent: Tuesday, June 23, 2009 10:25 PM To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Word reader?
