Hi Faustus.
Snort is an intrusion detection program for Linux and Windows. There are
several "plug-ins" to use to make the whole program easier on the use, such
as ACID, Barnyard and others. Don't ya just love the names. :-)
We are studying and using it in class.
Take a look at snort.org.
