Try right-clicking next to the toolbar and seeing if it gives you the option to uncheck the newly installed toolbar. If so, it would probably tell you the name... for example, Google. If you still have problems removing it, you can probably definitely remove it by downloading the free SpyBot app from: http://security.kolla.de/ ==================== Sir Troth, aka ~OoO~ PCTechTalk, Moderator ==================== ----- Original Message ----- From: Cajun To: PCTechTalk Sent: Monday, September 01, 2003 8:33 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Toolbar? Does anyone have any idea what kind of search toolbar would have installed itself into Internet Explorer right next to the Address toolbar? It looks exactly like the Address toolbar except there is no word right before it (like Address). The search box says "Enter the search term", there is a drop down arrow, there is a green box to the right of it with the white arrow in it, and the word Go after that, just like on the Address toolbar. This thing installed itself on my nephew's computer and he can't get rid of it. He deleted the IE toolbars folder in the Registry (XP) and it came back. There is no name or links on the toolbar. Thanks! : ) d.j.
