I agree as well with another company having my address, but to be honest it really doesn't matter whether you click the link or not. As soon as you received that first notice asking you to verify yourself, you're already on their database. And, you know, I clicked the link voluntarily, and my SPAM hasn't increased. I really doubt that a SPAM increase right now would be from this company. And, most likely, this company will not be the one to sell off your info... at least not now. They have products that they sell, and the SpamArrest service is a "premium" service. You have to pay for it. So they're not going to go sell their customers' information. Now... if they go out of business sometimes later down the road, that's a different story. But, that's like any company. If Norton goes out of business, don't you think they'd try to recover some costs selling their customer base? Either way... I think everyone is safe from SpamArrest. But, we all have the right to not want to be on their list. :::Troth ::: ____________________________________ Computer driving you nuts? //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk ____________________________________ :::Original Message :::Sent Fri, 3 Oct 2003 20:51:55 -0700 by James LaBorde | I'm with the Keyboard Cowboy.
