Me too. That's why i use MailWasher. Once the rules are set up it flags
the headers of the few that might get in and doesn't show the good mail at
all. If I'm only looking at maybe one to three possible spams a month,
then it's pretty easy to tell by the headers if it's good or bad. The
(VERY) occasional false alarm is unchecked, maybe a rule tweaked, and I
don't even see the other ones because they never make it to the inbox and I
just don't look at them - just wave bye-bye..

rumoured to have uttered....

          | No... you probably can never STOP spam, but you
          | can make it easier to deal with. While some people prefer to
          | delete it before downloading it (MailWasher Pro) others prefer
          | to not even see it (such as me). And, so many programs, the
          | problem lies upon how conservative or aggressive a program you
          | use. The one I've been using, K9, so far has not marked
          | anything as SPAM that isn't. On the other end, however, SPAM
          | gets through. Since K9 works off a "learning" method,
          | everytime SPAM gets through, you tell it that its SPAM, and it
          | "learns."
          | Sure... some people prefer to just manually delete it from
          | their inbox. If that's what you or anyone else choose, so be
          | it. But, I prefer to not even see it.

          | For all you who are trying to stop the spam by downloading
          | programs here is what happened on another list....I for one
          | think its easier to just delete them myself as making
          | message rules
          | is useless when they (spammers) change their email address
          | and subject so
          | often.
          | I have a friend who put SpamArrest on her computer to try to
          | stop the Spam.
          | Well it stopped it and all the other mail as well. So far
          | she has had over
          | 2000 emails snatched from her inbox on the server and she
          | has removed the
          | program, changed her email address and guess what, it is
          | happening again.
          | I just wanted to warn everyone to stay away from that
          | program. Spam is
          | better than no mail at all.. lol
          | SO be careful what you download.
