Hi Troth
I am kind of doing the same thing, but I don't think I want to get as high
as 3.0. AMD or P4 is ok. Probably around 2.5 +/-. What are the designations
for this class of CPU? I want a MB with a fast front bus speed. I also want
some USB ports on the front of the MB so I don't have to run cables from the
back to hook up the USB connections in the from of the new case, with a min
of 3 fans, I will be getting. New power supply as well. Dual fan, no less
then 350W's. A MB with a large RAM capacity would not be bad either.

While I am at it, would appreciate suggestions for a good CD-DVD-R-RW drive.

A friend recommended Gigabyte, but I have not looked into it yet.

Welcome suggestions. TIA
