Do they show up in disk management? Sometimes a drive wont show up in an
explorer window, but can be seen in disk management. If it shows up in disk
management, sometimes changing the drive letter will make it visible in an
explore window.

I have (own) a lot of external hard drives (Western Digital, Seagate, etc.).
My desktop computer doesn't recognize some of them, but they are seen by
other computers. I know that it has something to do with my device drivers
(probably), but I'm at a loss how to get them to work again (that is, to be
seen by my desktop computer). I went to Device Manager and updated drivers,
but it tells me that I have the most-current device drivers.

Your friend,

Larry
