After hitting ENTER with no password, it should now reboot and not ask you again. If it does, you need to do a search on your system for *.pwl and delete all the files it finds. When you restart, again it'll ask for a password. Just leave it blank and hit OK. After that, you should be free and clear of any future password requests. ---Troth ----- Original Message ----- From: HandsomeBlck@xxxxxxx To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, September 29, 2003 2:58 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Password for XP? Hello all, I know I've read some emails regarding the OS asking for a password while booting up. I never paid much attention because my machine didn't ask that from me. Well, I just upgraded my printer to a HP PRC 2410 All-in-one. It's a really Gucci package. However, after rebooting, the computer is now asking for a password. I hit "Enter", and it let me in. How do stop the password request?
