If you go to SirTroth.com, the structure of the site I'm working on will be
very similar to that one. The actual tips section will probably not be
broken up by OS, but more so split by category (general tip, IE tips,
security tips, networking tips, etc). But, since there'll also be a
discussion forum, tips for other OS's and stuff like that will be on the
forums. An example of what the forum will be like is this:
http://www.sirtroth.com/forum/

Please don't post to this forum, as its not live, and its just the setup I'm
working on for the new site. But, feel free to look at it. Suggestions, of
course, are welcomed.

I have a few tech pros on board with the overall site, and plan on it
becoming more of a help and tip site. I've got a new domain specifically for
that, but don't want to disclose that info as of yet.

All the other stuff you mentioned (price grabber, how stuff works,
definitions, scans, etc) are all in the mix as well. Advertisements will be
minimal, but there will be very few banners that will, of course, go towards
helping me pay for the site, since everything is coming out of my pockets.

Suggestions are always welcomed, and of course I'm always looking for more
hands (more hands, of course, from people that really know what they're
doing). More on that once the site actually goes live.

And... lastly... yet another site that I haven't yet decided on whether or
not to set up, is a strictly Mac site. IF that one goes up as well, the
address will be WhoseYourMacDaddy.com ... but, don't bother trying to access
that one just yet, as it'll only redirect you to SirTroth.com.
:o)

question about what you plan for on your tech tip sections

Are you going divided it up in OS categories, for example, Linux, Windows
subgroups, XP PRO, Home, 98, NT, ME or all grouped together, then of course
there is the double BIG MAC?

have you considered Links to places like Price Grabber, computer
definitions, how stuff works, free virus scans, spybot, lavasoft, Bizrate,
etc., etc.

Just wondering
Life is what happens in between plans.
