This is a link to the newer model I found at Office Max. http://www.officemax.com/omax/catalog/sku.jsp?skuId=21215356&category_Id=292 Since mine is a year old, I did not find it right off, but I am sure it is out there. You can do a further search. I did find another model that seems similar. My cartridge numbers are Vivera HP Ink. 88 is the number. Each color Black, Yellow, Cyan and Magenta are number 88, you just have to look for the color name on the package. They also have XL cartridges, which is what I have purchased for the black as they have more ink and do not need to be changed as often. The print quality is excellent..in my opinion. I bought mine at Costco and had a coupon for I THINK $50 off. I think I paid about $300 for it. This is a link to a 7580 which seems the same for features and functions. If this link does not work, go to www.costco.com and then search for Computers then Multifunction Inkjets and you will see the HP 7750 That is currently $300.. http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11239153&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eCat=BC|84|54023|4375&N=4015996&Mo=14&pos=3&No=2&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=4375&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&ec=BC-EC10616-Cat54023&topnav= You do NOT have to turn the page over when you make two sided copies from two sided originals. There is a sheet feeder and you can just load them like you do a photo copy machine. I have scanned pages (I do this a lot when doing rebates. I scan the documents I am going to submit and make two sided copies. When using the scanner I say I want two sided copies. I scan the first side and it stops and then I take the original doc(s) off the scanner and put the items for the second side on the scanner. Then I push the button for it to scan and voila, I have one page with two sides..again..saving paper and file space. You can also make multiple two sided copies of multiple pages and have them collated. Say you have a booklet that is 4 pages long and you want 3 copies of it. You tell the printer the original is 4 (single or 2 dual sided) pages and that you want 3 collated copies Load the papers in the feeding tray and push the go button. You can also print dual sided collated docs from documents on your computer. (for example..pdf files) Depending upon your need..I usually buy stuff on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) but given the economy in the US...maybe back to school could be as good. I have no clue. Bob, my answers to your direct questions are below..next to your questions. I hope this helps... Rose Las Vegas PS. I bought this one at Costco..and I do find it good to buy the extended warranty. HP has been very good for me. They will ship you a replacement printer. You take it out..put on the pieces of your printer..like the top part or whatever they tell you to put on the new printer and put your broken printer in the box and mail it back to them. It is postage paid. I had them send me a replacement printer after trying 5 different cartridges and not being able to print. The printer came, we put the parts from our old one onto the new one.. tried it..and it did not print. Unbelievably, it still did not print. I had purchased FIVE BAD cartridges! I took them to the Office Depot store where I purchased them and they gave me my money back..NO questions asked. I then went next door to Costco and bought some there. I went home and both the new printer and my old printer worked just fine! I called HP and told them about the cartridge problem and that the printer was just fine. They said GREAT! I just had to ship back what they sent me. I did not have to pay any postage for the replacement I did not need. They were very nice. (To clarify the need to take parts from the old machine and put them on the new one...... They ship a replacement machine minus a part that is needed to run the machine. It is a part that is easy to take off a machine. That way, you have to have the part to make the replacement machine work. This way, you really have to have a machine to get the replacement one to work. Another feature/step that was created because too many folks are not honest. How sad. Every time you open a package that is in plastic and seems impossible to get it out of the packaging thank some dishonest folks. What is even worse is when you had to buy something to cut into the plastic to get your purchase out of the plastic. And... you cannot open that plastic to get the cutter out! ha ha! Hope this helps Bob. THERE IS A SHEET FEEDER. JUST LOAD THE ORIGINAL 2 SIDED DOCS AND IT COPIES THEM AS TWO SIDED (WHEN YOU TELL IT TO) IF THEY ARE ONE SIDED DOCS, YOU TELL THE PRINTER THEY ARE ONE SIDED ORIGINALS AND YOU WANT TWO SIDED COPIES AND YOU WANT THEM COLLATED. What is the cost? MINE WAS ABOUT $300 Does it do color? YES IT DOES COLLOR AND AN EXCELLENT JOB TOO! Does it use ink Cartridges? YES IT USES INK CARTRIDGES.....IT USES THE NEW VIVERA CARTRIDGES. Bob Life is what happens in between plans. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tech Rose - LoveBytes" <TechRose@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> I Have an HP Office Jet Pro L7650 and love love love it. It does two sided copies easy.. even from scans....and has a sheet feeder which is great when I have a bunch of copies to make...like a tax return..it will make two sided copies so three pages ends up as 3 pages instead of 6! This not only saves paper, but file space too. I have had it for about a year. It works great and I like the new cartridges too! They seem to last longer..but that could just be my opinion/misperception. ----- Original Message ----- From: "rudy" <rudylopeznc@xxxxxxxxx> HP Photosmart, has been good to me.. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger" <rcleavitt@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "PCTT" <PCTechTalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, August 19, 2008 11:12 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Newegg Printer Sale > http://tinyurl.com/5o7q5j > > Back to school sales seem to be a good time to buy? --------------------------------------------------------------- Please remember to trim your replies (including this sentence and everything below it) and adjust the subject line as necessary.
