I am tempted to pour some grease on my jeans and have a go with EasyOff!!!
Problem is here I have never seen EasyOff in a spray, only the gooey stuff.
Maybe if I paste it on the stain? :o)

Lil,

While I take this motherboard out of the case here are a few more uses for
EasyOff that Google turned up.
Although I have never used EasyOff on a mobo I certainly would if it would
do an acceptable job. The idea to use EasyOff to clean grease stains off
your jeans was given to me by a mother in business. A lady came to my door
and wanted to "rent" my front lawn. She explained that she was the mother of
a female airman up at the local airbase and lived with her daughter. Bored
and alone all day on a military facility is not much fun. Wandering around,
kicking rocks, and talking to herself, she discovered a dumpster. Peeking in
she discovered plastic garbage bags containing various types of clothing,
including grease stained coveralls usually worn by mechanics. She retrieved
the clothing, sprayed the grease stains with EasyOff, rolled the clothes in
a ball and left them overnight. The next day she washed all the clothes
while her daughter was at work.
Her idea and her handiwork paid off. The clothing looked good as new. No
longer bored she established a regular route dumpster diving and retrieving
discarded clothing. She accumulated bales of it!
Once she had a sufficient amount she decided to have a sale. The government
quarters weren't a suitable location so she drove into the city and scouted
out a site for her sale. She determined my front lawn was ideal. She has a
good eye! The traffic by here, both vehicular and pedestrian, is endless.
I agreed to hosting her sale; I love bargains!
She showed up on a Sat. morning with a van stuffed full of various items.
She displayed the stuff all over my front lot and I put out my fancy "Garage
Sale" sign.
At the end of the day she drove off in an empty van and money sticking out
of all her pockets. I refused her offer of cash for the use of my
facilities...... afterall, she had turned me on to EasyOff. 'Nuff said!
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Back to cleaning motherboards. I have never felt the necessity to clean one
other than brush the dust off and blow out the slots. I have footlockers
full of motherboards stored in my garage awaiting recycling and I doubt any
of them were ever cleaned.
YMMV
