What did you use for the resizing? Did you use FDISK or did you use a third-party software? ---Troth ----- Original Message ----- From: ds To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, September 11, 2002 1:45 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Lost drives Yes, the basic dos screen. I've managed to get to the CD-Rom, but I've never installed from DOS before. I tried entering setup at the prompt, but that failed. Yes, I resized one of the partitions (which affected three of them, I think), so maybe that's why I can't see them. This computer has two drives, one with 2 partitions and the other with three (if memory serves me correctly). I'm trying to put 98SE on the first primary partition. I'm looking at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;q232018&; right now, but so far no go. Denise Denise, Did you redo the partitions? If so and you didn't format the new partions they won't show up. Also try booting off your CD-Rom. You have to go into bios to do that. If I understand you all you have is a basic dos screen? Is that right?
