Do you have an Office Depot near you? They are running the same type sale,
but they have them physically in stock, so you could try it before you left,
plus they have a 14 day return policy. Also, right now, they are having 25%
off Playbook accessories. (They also have the new Archos Android Tablets
on sale there too.)

Since the 90day support period is based upon the serial number, you could
have replaced it as defective at Radio Shack and demanded a new one, testing
it out before you left. Then your 90 day support period would only start
once you registered the new device. The Shack would have had to return it
to RIM.

They said defective. Wanted me to wait for a box to send it back then wait
for them to check it out then wait for them to repair (or replace it with a
refurbished unit) and then wait for them to ship it back. That's too much
time for such a short support period (90 days) especially if I got a refurb
unit as a replacement. I returned it to Radio Shack for a refund.
Still deciding if I want to try it again.

It is not very intuitive. I took two pictures with the camera and cannot
delete them. Where is the delete button? Please don't tell me I have to
plug into my computer to manage files on it.
I think the touch screen is screwed up. Sometimes a light tap or touch with
the ball of my fingertip works, sometimes a light tap with my fingernail,
sometimes a hard punch with the tip of my finger and many many many times
nothing works at all. And the buttons hidden in the corners are the worst.
Small and hard to touvh, tap and/or punch just right to get results.
