Its in the BIOS. Check the BIOS settings for an option about checking or =
counting RAM on each start.

Subject: -=3DPCTechTalk=3D- HP Start Up
I am cleaning up my HP and it goes through counting my RAM (up=20
to 512) before it will start running Win 98. This didn't used=20
to happen before I updated to 512.
Now that I am giving this computer to my grandsons, is there=20
anyway for it to immediately go to Win 98 screen so they don't=20
start pressing buttons or something -- they are 7 and 5 and=20
quite savvy about using the computer for their learning=20
software..
