Larry,

This link explains that a pdf file checker may not be possible, or at least
not very accurate.

Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Does this program exist and, if not, this might be a
great idea for one (IMHO)

I have a very large collection of pdf files that I have collected over the
years. I tried to open one of them and received an error message from Adobe
Reader that the file was corrupt. Is there a program that will scan a
directory try and produce a report of corrupted PDF files so that they can
be deleted or rescanned, etc. If there is no such program, there should be.
It would be wonderful if the program would also scan a variety of
widely-used filetypes the same way (*.doc, *.docx, *.pdf, *.epub, *mobi,
*.rar, *.cbz, *.cbr, etc.) so that would could clean out or replace one's
"defective" files. It might also be a great feature if the program could
try to repair defective files as well.

Your thoughts, opinions, concerns, etc.

Your friend,

Larry
