Ghost is an imaging program. All it does is allows you to make an image of your hard drive. Not much different than just backing up to CD-R, but the MAIN and VERY IMPORTANT difference is that you can make the image easily with a few clicks to many differnt medias and you can do it from DOS. ---Troth ----- Original Message ----- From: Judith To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, August 30, 2003 10:22 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Could you explain what Ghost does I got a Ghost program with my CD-Burner and the tech swears by it and Norton has Ghost but I have no clue what this does. Tried to go into Norton and find out but it said something about backing up to 3.5 floppy and my floppy drive died on this machine and I don't intend to spend more money on a 5 year old computer that has a burner and a DVD-CD-R drive also. So could somebody explain how Ghost is different than just making a backup on CD-R of your data?
