Hi Lil, Yes it is a good way to do it. I have my hard drives in removable bays. I work with one HD all the time and periodicaly plug in the second HD and clone HD 1 to HD 2. Then remove HD 2 for backup protection. Check out the specs on Ghost 3 it is suposed to be improved over past versions. Mike ~ It is a good day if I learned something new. Both programs allows you to create an 'image' of your hard drive which can be restored with there software. You image/clone your hard drives to CD's or another hard drive or partition you create. You crate special boot disks to restore with.
