Hi Brenda,
I think the .DBX is the format for Outlook files.
I don't use outlook so we will have to wait till
someone experienced with Outlook can help you.

At least you have found the file now.

 Following the conversation with BRENDA I just try to read my
deleted item
folder
 And I then try to open it using NOTEPAD but he then says it was
to big for
 NOTEPAD and then ask for WORDPAD....
 I then say YES and was able to read garbage and text....
 UNTIL THEN ITS OK...

 But now the problem is, if it's a problem, that the .DBX icon on
ALL my OE
 folders has been changed for WORDPAD ones.....

 QUESTION : IS THAT A PROBLEM or NOT ???? and if yes how to
correct that???

 My OE is 5.50 on WIN-98 SE
