Roger & G, After a few hours of searching here, there and everywhere. It seems many computer users have the same exact missing files as I do. With that being said, that's enough using that program and worrying about it. For curiosity I ran it on my laptop last night and had the same missing files. The Garmin map program, MS streets and trips, and Windows media player are the only programs installed on the laptop and it has the same missing files. It also is running Win2000 and my desktop is running WinXP sp2. Isn't that weird. Autorun may be a neat program but I think I'll leave it for the pros. Thanks, Matt ----- Original Message ----- From: Roger To: PCTT Sent: Friday, August 22, 2008 6:13 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Autoruns Matt, Apparently you are concerned enough about the contents displayed in Autoruns to research the entries. Fortunately Autoruns.chm provides some great tips on researching right from within Autoruns. I'd recommend you use the information maintained by the ElderGeek for information regarding Windows Services and any other subject your research leads to. http://www.theeldergeek.com/services_guide.htm Have fun.......... ------------------ "From now on, ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put." - Sir Winston Churchill --------------------------------------------------------------- Please remember to trim your replies (including this sentence and everything below it) and adjust the subject line as necessary.
