wow - I finally have an answer to a question I've been wondering about and
it came about by someone else's question - I knew never to respond to spam
but they are getting so good at subject lines that sometimes I am forced to
open them (and in some instances it's a good thing I did, i.e. bought
something on e-bay and the seller sent me an e-mail with NO subject line)
Anyhow that explains why my spam seems to be multiplying faster than
cockroaches! Okay now will this work if I'm on cable - since I'm hooked up
24/7, will choosing OFFLINE in OE work? Dolores

Never open any email that seems like its SPAM. Or, if you use Outlook
Express, go into OFFLINE mode before previewing the message. Many of these
SPAMS have little web bugs attached that'll detect that the mail has been
read. This, in turn, tells the SPAMmer that they have a hit... a live
person... a valid email address for future SPAMS. And, definitely, never
respond to any SPAM (but, that one you probably already know).
