If you go to http://videohelp.com you can look up a player model and it'll tell
you all the formats and media that it plays.

I was wondering - I know our dvd player in our basement plays mp3 files - I
don't kow what else it plays. Maybe - if I knew where the book was - would tell
me! If I can't find the book, I'll go to the web site for the brand!! thanks!!

Hi Cris.
Well one thing that I know is that Phillips makes a DVD player that will
play pretty much anything. My buddy has 2 of them that he got from Walmart
for about $60 a piece.
Here is the link to the manufacturers product page;
http://www.consumer.philips.com/consumer/catalog/catalog.jsp?fhquery=fh_secondid%3Ddvp642_37_us_consumer%26fh_location%3D%2F%2Fconsumer%2Fen_US%2Fcategories%3Ccatalog_us_consumer%2Fcategories%3Chome_audio_video_gr_us_consumer%2Fcategories%3Cdvd_players_recorders_ca_us_consumer%26&productId=DVP642_37_US_CONSUMER&activeCategory=HOME_AUDIO_VIDEO_GR_US_CONSUMER&fredhopperpage=detail.jsp&language=en&country=US&catalogType=CONSUMER&proxybuster=FACHW05ENA111J0RMRCSHP3HKFSESI5P

Other than this I dont have any ideas.
Thought this might be helpful.
Happy New Year to all from Oregon, Scott.

If I have an AVI file, is there a way to burn it to a DVD so
that I can watch it on my television with my DVD player?

Thanks!
Cris
