I did that once..and just flat out told them to STOP..when they offered me a
free month I told them NO. Enough. If they won't quit then go to your credit
card co ( if that'st what you use to pay with ) and get a request form to
stop payment. Tell them you tried and AOL won't stop.  I have heard it
happen before like this..

I tried to quit AOL the other day, and they would not let me, I tried and
tried, they practically insisted I take the next month for free and would
never let me quit..

Guess I will try again next week or so
Ive not been using them anyway lately
