32-bit is what you're using now with Windows. Being that AMD will probably be 
the first to release a 64-bit processor (called the Athlon 64, I think), 
Microsoft has gone the way of sort-of tweaking up a Windows version 
specifically for the 64-bit processor. The OS needs to be set up to correctly 
benefit from the 64-bit processing. So, MS decided to work on that Windows 
XP-64 (or whatever the hell they're gonna call it).

  How do  you figure this out? I looked at Windows info and it says nothing
  about the bit,,,and the patche dictates one or the other of 32 or 64...so
