Ahh, You don't remove the *folder* just the contents. And, BTW, the contents are rebuilt just by using your computer (per info in the article). But if it didn't help, it didn't help. I thought you were trying to get rid of a file that referenced "PLAT7IN.EXE" which was (is?) located in your Prefetch folder. If you don't ever again run the program, then the prefetch file will never be utilized and will just lay there dormant.
