You can go run another, separate, free anti-virus to double-check at Trend Micro. It's called Housecalls. You want to shut down your Email, and then disable whatever your resident antivirus is so there are no conflicts. Then go here and do a different scan. http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp ~Lu ----- Original Message ----- From: Mikey To: pctech ; Computer_Help_and_Discussion@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, July 04, 2003 10:12 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- virus help and resore help please I am running windows ME.and I seem to have a virus in the c:\restore\temp directory called A0019585.cpy..now I recall very dimly that these restore files things could get wiped out by doing some steps..next question is kinda tricky ..doessome kind soul recall what the procedure is and if it wipes the restore subdirectory will it also wipe the virus that i s sitting there..Unoifrtunately avg doesn't tell me what the virus name is.
