There is an American pilot, Captain Scott Speicher, who our own government nows
acknowledges is still alive in captivity in Iraq, following his shoot-down over
Iraq during the last Gulf War. His family's attorney in Florida met with the
Iraqi Ambassador to the U.N. late last year, and was told that their government
would be "willing to make a humanitarian gesture."
