Hi all,

I ran a program called "Rain" on my previous laptop that had Win98SE. It
did make a difference in how often the fan ran. It supposedly cut power
to the CPU during idle time.

I've heard that this function is built into WinXP and that running Rain
would be redundant. Anyone know if this is a fact or not? If Rain does
help, it will keep the fan quieter and increase battery life some.

Thanks..........Peter
