Re-Na inquired about Vista and printer compatibility.  Since there are so many 
printers perhaps you should install Windows Vista: Upgrade Advisor -

  Simply run this program  while connected to the Web  and  when the  Upgrade 
Advisor is installed turn on all your peripherals.  If you are considering 
purchasing a new printer and need information before you buy the manufacturer's 
web site would be best if this information is  available. - Gerald
