Thanks Robert,

When I clicked onto your kind response, I had purchased an Epson
yellow cartridge, but I had not put it into the printer.

I gave your suggestion a try. I saw only one hole at the bottom from where
the ink is delivered. I gave it a gentle gust of my own hot air without
noticing any results. Next, I pointed the jet of one of the small cans of
compressed air to it.
This caused some ink to come out of cartridge hole, about the quantity of a
few drops. I gently pointed the air to the resting spot for the cartridge.
Still, I had the ink out light on the yellow and was unable to clean or
perform any of the other tests.

I put the new Epson cartridge into the printer. Everything is fine with a
test print, lights, noises, charging, etc. Maybe, your coming across to me.

Thanks,

Lou

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
