The name "John Levine" in the article should look familiar; he's the
one who replied to me just yesterday about PC Cowboy's number emails.
The articles' author did him a gross disservice by ONLY mentioning
that he's the author of a book. He runs a mailing list discussing spam
and new ways to detect and block it in various ways (which is where I
posted my question and got several replies, one of which was the one
from him which I quoted), and runs Abuse.Net, which is the industry
standard method of determining which email address to write to to
complain about abuse, and so forth.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
