YAY!!! Problem fixed! Went into Windows Disk Manager (which I'd never
known was there) and right clicked on the space not yet formatted and Vo=
ila!
All done! Thanks everyone!
And Scott, nothing ever breaks for me when it's still under warranty! I

According to the specs, the model was introduced in 2004 Oct 3. If
you bought it after May 2005, the hard drive will be still under
warranty.
