The basic reason I know people use it is because someone else can't easily
alter their documents. I'm not saying it can't be done, but most pdf files
sent to you are ones that only the 'author' can edit. It assures no
tampering with the data.

Talking of PDF, why do people use PDF files, quite often a page comes from
the net in PDF and I see same pags in word format etc so why use it?
