Quite Right Edward particularly with the judiciary and politicians we
have elected today do not listen to us. I would love to know just who our
prime minister gets his orders from. Its not us I wonder about the
former boss of \HMRC and the Borders who was honour after such "failures"
Did she really fail or did she do as she was told. Its inconceivable that
the P M could not have strengthened our borders with the police and army.
And as for the taxes of Amazon and Google and now Uber they should be taxes
on the sales in the country of operation. As for people and all the
cosseting of the fats cats they should pay a tax on whatever they buy.
Incremental rates would probably be needed. Council of £2k levied of a
couple is also the same rate as levied on a similar property with multiple
occupancy wage earners. particularly a problem with more children unable to
leave home. The £20 bn not charge on so few people and properties would
help the aged and poor and sick and put some of it bacxk into the economy.
Bearing in mind the way votes have been on occasion unrepresentative
OUR ONLY CHANCE IS TO USE OUR VOTE TO LEAVE THE E U and if the incumbent M P
etc did not do his patriotic duty it might be easier to unseat him.
Best wishes Terry Lyden
Too simple yes I guess so.

The trouble is that assertions of illegality of treaties or anything else
can only be established by getting a judge to agree with you.
Atkinson and McWhirter laid information against the negotiators of the
Maastricht treaty on very well founded accusations of treason.
The authorities' response was to make no response until Parliament had
passed the Maastricht treaty Bill and then to say it "would not be in the
public interest" to proceed. As only the Crown Officers (usually the
Attorney General in England) can prosecute for treason, that was the end
of the matter - apart from endless indignant wrangling amongst the
understandably outraged.
Elsewhere I have made available advice by the late Leolin Price QC on
possible grounds for seeking a judicial review on matters relating to the
EU treaties. Nobody has taken it up. I have also pointed out that
excellent organisation Help For Litigants in Person to those who might not
have the means to brief Counsel. Again, nothing has resulted. So it all
remains a more or less a fruitless circular discussion. The forum is now
political. I think everyone agrees that it is desirable to secure a
"Leave" vote in the referendum.
The manipulation of the national curriculum in schools means that fewer
and fewer people have a sufficient background of historical
knowledge to understand these legal and constitutional arguments anyway.
We have not got time to remedy that. It will take at least a generation
and the referendum, which will settle the matter for years to come whether
we like it or not, may take place in June. I try to address these
problems in the article linked below.
