The HMI's report that the police do not investigate many crimes gives a clue to
the real reason why the 1400 abused children were not protected.The police
attitude is that these girls are beyond help so what is the point of recording
their complaints as a crime.The police are part of the problem. It is a mistake
to think that they are a solution.
